I work freelance through JR Software Solutions, based in Glabbeek, Flanders. I provide tailored software solutions — functional analysis, technical analysis, development, and refactoring. New systems or legacy systems, it doesn’t matter: I help you understand what’s needed and build the right answer.
You work with me directly. One person, start to finish.
About Joris
I’m Joris Renting, founder of JR Software Solutions. I graduated in 2011 with a professional bachelor’s degree in IT and spent the next 14 years as a software developer, specializing in Java with a strong knowledge of front-end systems and a working knowledge of Python.
My focus is backend architecture — designing scalable, future-proof systems and modernizing legacy applications that still carry real business value. I’ve seen what happens when systems are built without a long-term view, and I build differently: clear architecture first, solid implementation second.
Recently, I’ve shifted toward AI-assisted development workflows. The theory, the architecture, and the quality control stay with me. AI handles much of the implementation work — under my oversight. It’s a faster way to deliver without lowering the bar.
I work primarily with clients in Flanders, but remote collaboration is fine anywhere within a ±3 hour timezone. For projects, I communicate in Dutch and English.
Outside of client work, I also help individuals with computer maintenance and buying advice — same principle: understand the need, recommend honestly, deliver cleanly.
